Bergamo Airport is about 100 km from southern Lake Garda and offers flights to and from many European destinations, also thanks to low-cost airline RyanAir. The cheapest and easiest solution for transfer from this airport to the Lake is definitely to rent a car or use a transfer service.

Verona Airport is about 20 km from the Lake. It is connected to the Verona train station with a shuttle bus service which runs every 20 minutes.
From the train station, ATV (Azienda Trasporti Verona) buses to Lake Garda depart once every hour (travel time approximately 45 minutes). Also, during the high season, the ATV 164 bus line connects the airport directly to Lake Garda and runs every 60 minutes.
For those who prefer to be independent, there are car rental services and taxis right outside Arrivals at the airport.
By car
Reaching Lake Garda by car is easy and convenient with the A22 motorway (Brenner – Modena) or the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice)!

Just outside each station, you will have no trouble finding taxis and bus stops! From Verona train station, ATV buses to Lake Garda depart once every hour (travel time approximately 45 minutes).

For those who come from Austria and Germany:

The DB-ÖBB EuroCity trains connect Italy, Austria and Germany through the Brenner 5 times daily. You can reach Verona Porta Nuova without having to change trains, departing either from Innsbruck or Munich! Book ahead of time and you will be able to take advantage of special offers and travel comfortably and cheaply.
Children up to 14 years of age travel for free if they are accompanied by their parents or grandparents!
During the high season, if you arrive with a DB-ÖBB train at the Verona Porta Nuova train station, you will then be able to reach Lake Garda in under 50 minutes, thanks to connections to the express 185 route heading to Lazise, Bardolino and Garda.

By bus

The ATV-busses allow you to visit in a cheap way all the places of the Verona´s side of Lake Garda and some of the most interesting localities in the province of Verona. Here is a list with the most important lines of Lake Garda (in the summer from 11/6):

Furthermore during the summer (from May to October) is active the line Riva del Garda-Venezia, which allow you to spend a day in Venice.
Always in the summer (from 11/6)with the line 470 there is the Bus&Bike, dedicated to the mountain bike lovers:a service with bike transport combined with bike paths on Garda-Baldo and in the Lessinia;thel "Bus Arena" night connection Verona-Garda-Malcesine for the public of the opera season and the shuttle Spiazzi-Santuario Madonna della Corona.

By boat
To travel fast en without thinking about the traffic from one plce to another on board of hydrofoils, catamarans or the classic motoboats is for sure an alternative way to visit Lake Garda in a relaxing way while you enjoy extraordinary views!
