The Arco Carnival, also known as the Habsburg Carnival, has its roots in the 15th century, with modern celebrations dating back to 1876. After a hiatus in 1912, the tradition was revived in the 1960s, keeping the atmosphere of the era alive with dances and social events. In recent years, Arcoland, a programme dedicated to children, has been added, transforming the city into a toyland. During the Carnival, you can admire allegorical floats, historical re-enactments and stands selling typical local products, making the event an important cultural and social celebration.
