Punta San Vigilio
The Rocca di Garda is a cliff-side mountainous relief located in the South of the city of Garda and represents the limit between the municipalities of Garda and Bardolino. Once on the top of the rock there was an impregnable castle, of which unfortunately only some rests are left. It’s possible to reach the Rocca thanks to several paths and, once you reach the top, you will end up in a giant field where most of the people organize a nice panoramic picnic with a magnificent view over the most beautiful gulf of Lake Garda. Furthermore close to the Rocca there is the Eremo dei Camaldolesi, which was built during the second half of 1600 and is located in an enviable position thanks to its tranquility and beauty.
Punta San Vigilio is one of the most celebrated and romantic places of the Lake and it’s a locality easy to reach with a relaxing stroll of about 3 km from the town of Garda. Punta San Vigilio is a property of the Counts Guarienti from Brenzone and has the shape of a peninsula which closes the gulf of Garda in the North-West. In this little peninsula you can find a villa, a small church, a historical lodging, a small port and the Park Baia delle Sirene. There are all the elements able to bewitch every visitor: art, history and nature melt harmoniously and create a really suggestive atmosphere. If you go for a stroll around Punta San Vigilio you will have the impression to be in a place without time, where the clear water and the unforgettable colours will make you holiday unique.
