Padenghe sul Garda
Padenghe is a hilly town located on the Brescia side of Lake Garda, characterized by a mild climate throughout the year.
Padenghe is easily reachable both by car and by train: the nearby railway station of Desenzano del Garda is only 6 km away.
The Padenghe area has always been an important production area in terms of wine, for the production of the famous Garda Classico. Over the years, Padenghe has also become an ideal tourist destination for a relaxing holiday.
The most famous buildings in Padenghe are Villa Barbieri, a villa dating back to the 18th century, which now is the town hall, and the medieval castle, which surrounds the town with its walls, above which the main tower rises, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding hilly area of the Valtènesi. The castle is a location that during the summer season hosts various theatrical, musical and historical reenactments. The Romanesque Church of S. Emiliano is also very famous, it dates back to the 12th century and is located near the Castle.
In the Padenghe area there are also large playgrounds for children, cycle paths, beautiful fields to practice many sports and many beautiful beaches. The town also has both a small port and a long pebble beach with several welcoming bars.
In Padenghe it is also possible to practice various sports, such as swimming, hiking and mountain biking. The mild climate, the typically Mediterranean vegetation, the small port and the beach have made this town one of the most popular tourist destinations in the lower Garda area.
